Roger Federer v Lleyton Hewitt preview

Australian Open - Roger Federer vs Lleyton Hewitt (Monday, January 25, 08:30 GMT)

Roger Federer is the huge odds-on favourite to beat Lleyton Hewitt when the two meet in Monday's evening session at Rod Laver Arena.

The game airs live on bet365, who are also airing every other match from the 2010 Australian Open - LIVE!

The Swiss, 5/2 favourite for the Men's singles, is as a short as 1/14 to beat the two-time Grand Slam winner and advance to the quarter-finals.

Federer has looked comfortable throughout the first week bar a slow start in the first round, reaching this stage after beating Albert Montanes of Spain 6-3 6-4 6-4 in the third round.

The 15-time Grand Slam winner is in confident mood heading into the business end of the tournament.

"Obviously as the draw goes further the matches will get harder but physically I’m fine, mentally I’m refreshed and that’s how you want to be heading into the second week," explained Federer.

Hewitt, who is bound to have strong crowd support when he and Federer take to the court, is 13/2 to record a shock win. He reaced this stage after third-round opponent Marcos Baghdatis retired due to a shoulder injury.

Hewitt was leading 6-0, 4-2 at the time and is also confident ahead of the clash with Federer.

"I took it up another notch tonight, which was great," he said after Baghdatis' retirement. "I hit the ball as well as I have hit it in a long time.

"It's not gonna be easy against Rog. It's not going to be easy. I'll be ready come Monday."

Federer is odds-on to win the game in straight sets, and while we can't see anything other than a win for the Swiss here, Hewitt is more than capable of taking a set so we'll be laying Federer at 1.96 on Betfair to win 3-0.
